There are times in our lives when we throw caution to the wind. There are other times we play it safe. As we get older, it seems we get stuck playing it safe. That safety becomes such a priority, we stop living life to the fullest. Just recently my father, Jose Enrique Medina, took his final breath. This extraordinary event was totally outside of my comfort zone. But the blessings and miracles experienced reminded me that life begins outside my comfort zone. Are you feeling stuck? I will share how to step out of comfort and into life.
How do you know you are ready to become a caregiver? How long are you willing to take on the caregiving role? For many of us, becoming a caregiver can happen unexpectantly, without warning. We find ourselves in a role and we have no idea how it will affect us. Caregiving expert, advocate, author, and speaker Pamela D Wilson, MS, BS-BA, NCG, CSA, knew from an early age she possessed a love and passion for the elderly. And when this passion took a personal turn towards loss, Pamela brought her passion to those she loved the most, her parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Pamela will share the caregiver’s journey and how we can prepare for this volunteer job that can lead to deeper love, higher stress, and feelings of being taken for granted.
It felt like a minute… but the month of May flew by faster than I would have liked. I had so many goals and, for the most part, I feel good about my achievements. But it is the goals that I was not able to complete that make me wonder why. What caused me to get derailed? Perhaps it was all my distractions in this world that caused me to disconnect with that voice within me. What is that voice that guides us beyond our understanding? I will share the importance of listening to and connecting to that voice within us.

Mary Jo Rapini, M.Ed, LPC, is a speaker, psychotherapist, and author who encourages healthy relationships. She will share how to have the relationship of your dreams, even if it is with yourself.
When we hold on to past traumas, even when we ignore them and act as they never happened, they affect how we view others, our circumstances, and the world. If you are tired of putting yourself last, if you desire to leap out of your skin, if you are about to make a change and are fearful, perhaps we can take this leap together. Many times, we think we are selfish if we put ourselves first. Let’s change that thought… I will share the importance of valuing everything in life, especially ourselves.

Where has the time gone? I cannot believe this is my final class for 2023! When I take a look at all the things that happened this year, I have to take a pause. Some things I could have controlled, while others I could not. This year included meeting and interviewing great teachers, creating wonderful events, and the loss of my friend Lorraine Day, MD. Regardless, each step has been an opportunity for growth. This includes the discovery that each one of us may not have the power to control the outcome, but we can certainly become the SOLUTION! I will share my excitement about the upcoming, 2/3/24, I AM the SOLUTION ~ Natural Health Summit 2024! Are you ready to be your own SOLUTION?
Have you ever noticed how there are certain circumstances that seem to repeat themselves? Even when we are not paying attention, choices we make will create the same unwelcome results. But why does this keep happening? Recall Healing and Mindbody medicine expert Michelle LaMasa-Dawson, PhD, knows that our behaviors and choices are created for us to learn from. Dr. Michelle is back to discuss how by discovering our patterns, we can learn from these growth opportunities and create a lesson to end the cycle.
We are almost at the end of 2023 and this is the time we start thinking about our New Year’s Resolutions. But did you know that approximately 92% of people who make resolutions do not keep them? Germs, germs, and more germs… There are a lot of gifts that linger that nobody wants. We will be surrounded by many people; some we don’t even know at the store. We focus on the perfect gift, and just like that, Tis’ the season to get sick! Most people are fearful of germs but what if germs were not the root cause of getting sick? I will share tips on staying healthy during the holidays.
As we get older, and hopefully wiser, we realize what truly matters in life. What do you remember most… receiving the latest and greatest toy or spending time having fun with your parents, family, children, or grandchildren? Sometimes our priorities, when it comes to gift giving, can be off balance. We want to give the best gift ever, but we neglect the gift that endures. I will share how to give the gift that keeps on giving this holiday season and beyond.
We just celebrated a holiday that focused on giving thanks. After Thanksgiving, different denominations, faiths, and cultures celebrate their winter holidays. But when you have suffered a loss, family gatherings can create great sadness as you realize that someone who died will not be at the celebration. Celebrations are an opportunity to reconnect, reflect, and rejoice. But how can we do that when the person we love is no longer on this earth. I will share how to embrace and deal with the loss of our loved ones during the holidays.
With all the chaos and hate in the world, we need a change of perspective through the eyes of love! If you have ever experienced pain, disappointment, or loss, and you have shut down your ability to accept, forgive, or move on, maybe it is time to shift your perspective about the miracles in your life. Author, Master Teacher, and world-renowned expert on a Course in Miracles, Carol Howe, will teach us how to find joy beyond the pain even during the holidays.
As each generation passes the baton to the next, it seems certain common courtesies have been ignored. When we host or attend a party, there are certain protocols we should kindly follow. But some people ignore them. Etiquette expert Jacqueline Whitmore, has made it her mission to create awareness of the things we can do to improve relationships in our personal or business lives. With the holidays upon us, we may not be aware of any faux pas we unknowingly commit. Jacqueline will share how we can create the most beautiful holiday experience for yourself and others.
Prior to the Etiquette Conference, while preparing for my talk on “mindset,” I searched for a song to use during my talk. I wanted one that highlighted the choice we all have to rewrite our beliefs about ourselves, others, and our circumstances. This belief could be a story from our past, present, or future. Much to my surprise, I stumbled upon a song that resonated. It was in alignment with my beliefs and how I coach people when we work together on changing their perception about any situation. After listening to the song 3 or 4 times, I did more research. This time it was on the singer and songwriter Kayley Bishop. Kaley has an amazing gift. She will share the story behind her beautiful song, Rewrite Your Story.
In August 2013, while during research for the show, I discovered Lorraine Day, MD. It was during that first interview when I swore I would never invite her back to The Classroom. As I began to learn about natural health, I wanted to hear what she had to say. Yearly, Dr. Day would return but in 2019, that changed to monthly. Each month we learned and grew with her. We even did the Revelation and Exodus Bible studies together. She loved when I called her “my favorite eye poker,” and we loved our girly-girl talks. Since February 2023, she’s been on healing mode and could only focus on her Bible study. I never thought this day would come. I will share my favorite moments with this amazing teacher, mentor, and friend. Join me LIVE to share your special moments too.
What typically happens when we are on vacation? We overindulge! For many of us, we use the justification of vacation to get off our regular diet. The reality is… it could be a party, sadness, joy, boredom, stress, or celebration to justify getting off our diet. But what about the holidays? This is a time when overindulgence is at a fever pitch for several months! How can we break the cycle of “any excuse” to eat foods we know cause dis-ease? I will share how we can prepare for a healthier holiday season.
Have you ever spoken with someone who you might consider to be a bit negative? These are the people that when you share any dreams, desires, or plans, their response is laced with fear, what could go wrong, or criticism. Just writing about these people makes me tense up and roll my eyes. How does your body feel when you encounter these people who squash your enthusiasm? Could that person be you? I will share how to handle critical people and become more curious!

She has used her life experiences to learn the lessons she shares today. Barbara will share how she learned to live an inspired and refined life in Christ!
It is still difficult for me to grasp slavery in this day and age. But I know it is still happening. The movie, Sounds of Freedom, has made the world aware there is another side to life that we do not or cannot look at. The president and founder of I AM A Freedom Fighter, Jenny Pruett, has been a champion of other groups and nonprofit organizations such as Life Recaptured that are making a difference in the human trafficking area. Jenny will share how we too can help stop human trafficking.
When we hold on to past traumas, even when we ignore them and act as they never happened, it affects how we view others, our circumstances, and the world. How many times have you thought, “I’ve dealt with that,” only to later find out that it is still affecting your health. Recall Healing expert Michelle LaMasa-Dawson, PhD, has helped us dive into the effects of emotions on the body and how can we trace the issues to our thoughts. Dr. Michelle is back to discuss how our thoughts affect our health and how we can change our thoughts to improve our lives.
