Respectful disagreement is becoming a lost art. Yet it may be one of the most powerful tools for healing our families, friendships, and communities. Recently, I was attacked on my personal Facebook page for my beliefs. I was insulted, accused, and shamed simply for having a different perspective. That experience became a profound eye-opener, highlighting how essential respect is when differences in opinion, affiliation, or belief arise. It was clear that some people default to name-calling and accusations rather than asking thoughtful questions or creating space for an open exchange of ideas. This leads us to some important questions. How can we speak truth without hostility? How can we listen without defensiveness? And how can we remain grounded in love even when opinions differ? I will share how learning to pause, reflect, and choosing connection over conflict can become a pathway to understanding, healing, and genuine connection.

For anyone who has lived with chronic pain, especially after being told it is “incurable,” the emotional toll can be just as heavy as the physical symptoms. Labels like Fibromyalgia, IBS, migraines, or other misunderstood syndromes, often come with frustration, isolation, and a sense of finality. Yet science continues to show us that the brain and nervous system are far more adaptable than once believed. Steven LaTulippe, MD, has spent over two decades helping his patients rethink what central pain truly is and how inflammation and neural signaling play a role. Understanding pain differently can change outcomes and quality of life. Dr. LaTulippe will teach us how to restore dignity, curiosity, and possibility for those who have been told there are no answers left.

Love is not just an emotion; it is a condition of the heart and a daily choice. Over the years, I’ve learned that many of us are generous in loving others, yet hesitant to receive love ourselves. This is often because of past hurt, rejection, or fears that have not been acknowledged or addressed. Is it easy for you to love? Is it harder for you to accept love? Why are we afraid of a functional or healthy relationship? I reflect on what it means to soften, to remain open, and to trust love again. This is not something we earn, but something we are created for. I will share how when we answer the call to love and be loved, we begin to heal at a deeper level, allowing connection, compassion, and grace to transform how we see ourselves and how we show up for others.

Neuro-inflammation is one of the most overlooked contributors to cognitive decline, emotional imbalance, and neurological stress. Yet not many know this could be happening to them. John Silva, DC, is a leading expert in neurofeedback and brain optimization. In past classes he has broken down how inflammation in the brain disrupts communication, energy, and overall function. Many people experience symptoms like brain fog, anxiety, poor memory, and lack of focus, thinking this is what happens when we age. Dr. Silva will teach us the common inflammatory triggers, the connection between the nervous system and overall health, and practical strategies that support the brain’s ability to regulate, repair, and thrive. It is our goal that all who listen will feel empowered to recognize early signals and take intentional steps toward protecting their brain health naturally and proactively.

Being kind to your enemy is one of the most countercultural and healing choices we can make. I’ve come to understand that kindness does not mean approval, passivity, or self-betrayal. It means refusing to allow resentment, anger, or bitterness to take root within us. When we choose kindness, paired with healthy boundaries, we reclaim our peace and protect our emotional and physical well-being. I will share how this kind of living invites freedom, clarity, and strength, reminding us that how we respond to others ultimately shapes our own health, mindset, and capacity to live fully.

Some of the most challenging health journeys begin after patients are told their case is “too complex” or “beyond help.” Claire Stagg, DDS, has devoted her work to resolving cases no one else would take by examining the mouth as a critical gateway to whole-body health. Through her integrative and biologically informed approach, she addresses hidden infections, dental materials, inflammation, and systemic stressors that are often overlooked. Dr. Stagg’s work reminds us that healing requires curiosity, collaboration, and the willingness to ask deeper questions, especially when conventional answers fall short.

Finding purpose and direction is less about searching outside ourselves and more about remembering who we are and what truly matters. I’ve learned that purpose often reveals itself quietly through moments of curiosity, service, struggle, and reflection, rather than through grand declarations. When we slow down and create space to listen, we begin to recognize the patterns, passions, and values that guide our path forward. Living with purpose doesn’t mean having every step mapped out; it means choosing alignment over confusion and intention over obligation. I will share how allowing direction to unfold with clarity, trust, and grace, will guide us to the destiny God ordained for us.

Our brains are designed to adapt, heal, and thrive. Yet modern stress, lifestyle, and environmental factors can hinder cognitive function. Patrick Porter, Ph.D., a leader in neurofeedback and holistic brain training, demonstrates how we can boost focus, memory, and emotional resilience through holistic practices. By integrating brain exercises, neurofeedback, and lifestyle strategies, he’s learned and witnessed that mental performance is not fixed, but can be trained and strengthened over time. Dr. Porter is back and he will share how BrainTap empowers anyone seeking better cognitive health, sharper thinking, and overall brain fitness, naturally and sustainably.

There are moments in life when everything in us wants to pull back, disengage, or escape what feels uncomfortable or overwhelming. I’ve learned that leaning in, gently and intentionally, can transform those moments into opportunities for healing and growth. When we stay present with what’s difficult, we begin to understand our triggers, soften our reactions, and reclaim our power. This practice isn’t about pushing through pain; it’s about listening, creating space, and responding with wisdom rather than fear. I will share how leaning in has allowed me to build emotional resilience, deepen self-trust, and move forward with greater peace and clarity. Would you like to do the same? Let’s learn how, together!

Understanding disease begins with seeing the body as an interconnected system rather than isolated symptoms. Thomas Levy, MD, JD, a world-renowned expert in integrative medicine and cellular healing, identifies oxidative stress as the primary driver of disease. He offers insights on how targeted interventions can restore health naturally. Through his work with vitamin C, hydrogen peroxide, oral detoxification, and mineral optimization, he demonstrates how removing obstacles and supplying the body with the right tools empowers it to heal itself. We will discuss Dr. Levy’s new book The Only Cause of Disease. He will share how prevention and recovery are possible when we address the root cause, not just the symptoms, giving hope and practical strategies for anyone seeking lasting wellness.

As a Certified Life Coach and Certified Holistic Cancer Coach, I’ve observed that while many people are willing to invest time, money, and effort into improving their physical bodies, they often avoid tending to their mind and spirit. They offer excuses like lack of time, money, or the belief that they “don’t need it, but my (add name here,) does!” That’s why I am introducing something new in The Classroom: Free Life Coaching Sessions. A loving, judgment-free space where you can ask questions about anything causing pain, confusion, or uncertainty and gain clarity, perspective, and direction. Coaching isn’t about being told what to do; it’s about asking the right questions, reconnecting with your inner wisdom, and moving forward with intention. Each week, I will select requests to explore during The Classroom for the benefit of all who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for something more. If you’re seeking encouragement, empowerment, or clarity, email your questions to me at Lilly@WhenYouNeedaFriend.com

Last weekend, in my blog, I created the acronym JAPHILAFF as a simple reminder to prioritize Joy, Acceptance, Peace, Health, Inclusion, Love, Abundance, Forgiveness, and Focus in our daily lives. These principles serve as guideposts for making intentional decisions that nourish our body, mind, and spirit. As I reflect on how I practice JAPHILAFF, I see how laughter, curiosity, and a lighthearted perspective help me stay grounded, consistent, and aligned with my values. This approach empowers us to live fully, embrace challenges with grace, and create a life that feels both meaningful and playful. I will share how we can all live a life rooted in JAPHILAFF!

Each new year offers an invitation to begin again. Yet traditional resolutions often leave us discouraged rather than empowered. Over time, I’ve learned that lasting change doesn’t come from rigid promises, but from intentionally choosing what truly aligns with our values, our health, and our purpose. As I reflect on what I want for 2026, I lean on cultivating a mindset that supports clarity, consistency, and sustainable well-being, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Choosing intentions over resolutions gives us permission to grow with grace, remain curious, and stay committed even when life becomes challenging. I will share wisdom drawn from Jesus’ parable in Matthew 9:17, of pouring new wine into old wineskins… a powerful reminder that meaningful transformation requires creating space for the new, and why we should let go of old patterns. How has pouring new wine into old wineskins kept you from achieving your goals? What would staying committed with grace, rather than perfection, look like for you in 2026?

As we move into the holiday season, many of us feel pressure to do more, give more, and be more. What if this year we focus instead on being present with childlike curiosity? Over the years, I’ve loved watching our grandchildren during the holidays. I often wonder how they are experiencing these moments and what priorities might look like through their eyes. Childlike curiosity softens stress, invites joy, and deepens our connections with loved ones. It can help us savor moments we might otherwise rush through. Imagine how your priorities might shift if you approached this season with the wonder of a child. I will share simple suggestions to reconnect with curiosity, practice gratitude, and embrace the kind of joy that can transform the season from overwhelming to uplifting.

Fear is a natural part of growth. But it doesn’t have to be the voice that guides our choices. Each time we say “yes” to something new such as a change in mindset, a healing journey, or a deeper purpose, we step closer to our authentic selves. I’ve learned that when we shift our focus from fear to faith, possibilities expand and transformation begins. This message is close to my heart, especially as we prepare for the I AM the SOLUTION Natural Health Summit for Cancer & Autoimmune Dys-Ease on November 1, 2025. If I were to let fear guide me, we would not be climbing The Summit together, or meeting amazing teachers that will empower us to live our best life or meeting likeminded people in our community.  I will share how to make your “YES!” greater than your fear and create the healthy life you were meant to live... It's time!

Optimal brain health is essential for overall well-being. John Silva, DC, helps people unlock their brain’s natural capacity to heal and perform at its best through neurofeedback. It is a safe and noninvasive technique that retrains brainwave patterns to improve focus, mood, sleep, and emotional balance. By identifying and correcting imbalances in the nervous system, neurofeedback supports recovery from stress, trauma, cognitive decline, and even “COVID brain,” without relying on medication. Dr. Silva will share practical insights into how this powerful therapy works and how it can transform mental and physical wellness from the convenience of our own home. Neurofeedback also helps the brain function more efficiently and harmoniously, empowering individuals to take control of their own health. Dr. Silva will be offering free QEEG at the I AM the SOLUTION Natural Health Summit for Cancer & Autoimmune Dys-Ease!

His research into antioxidants, detoxification, and immune restoration reveals how oxidative stress contributes to inflammation, fatigue, and chronic illness. Targeted therapies and mineral balance can help the body regain vitality. Dr. Levy will also be a featured speaker at the I AM the SOLUTION Natural Health Summit for Cancer & Autoimmune Dys-Ease on November 1, 2025, sharing his latest insights on restoring health at the cellular level.
