As each generation passes the baton to the next, it seems certain common courtesies have been ignored. When we host or attend a party, there are certain protocols we should kindly follow. But some people ignore them. Etiquette expert Jacqueline Whitmore, has made it her mission to create awareness of the things we can do to improve relationships in our personal or business lives. With the holidays upon us, we may not be aware of any faux pas we unknowingly commit. Jacqueline will share how we can create the most beautiful holiday experience for yourself and others.
Prior to the Etiquette Conference, while preparing for my talk on “mindset,” I searched for a song to use during my talk. I wanted one that highlighted the choice we all have to rewrite our beliefs about ourselves, others, and our circumstances. This belief could be a story from our past, present, or future. Much to my surprise, I stumbled upon a song that resonated. It was in alignment with my beliefs and how I coach people when we work together on changing their perception about any situation. After listening to the song 3 or 4 times, I did more research. This time it was on the singer and songwriter Kayley Bishop. Kaley has an amazing gift. She will share the story behind her beautiful song, Rewrite Your Story.
In August 2013, while during research for the show, I discovered Lorraine Day, MD. It was during that first interview when I swore I would never invite her back to The Classroom. As I began to learn about natural health, I wanted to hear what she had to say. Yearly, Dr. Day would return but in 2019, that changed to monthly. Each month we learned and grew with her. We even did the Revelation and Exodus Bible studies together. She loved when I called her “my favorite eye poker,” and we loved our girly-girl talks. Since February 2023, she’s been on healing mode and could only focus on her Bible study. I never thought this day would come. I will share my favorite moments with this amazing teacher, mentor, and friend. Join me LIVE to share your special moments too.
What typically happens when we are on vacation? We overindulge! For many of us, we use the justification of vacation to get off our regular diet. The reality is… it could be a party, sadness, joy, boredom, stress, or celebration to justify getting off our diet. But what about the holidays? This is a time when overindulgence is at a fever pitch for several months! How can we break the cycle of “any excuse” to eat foods we know cause dis-ease? I will share how we can prepare for a healthier holiday season.
Have you ever spoken with someone who you might consider to be a bit negative? These are the people that when you share any dreams, desires, or plans, their response is laced with fear, what could go wrong, or criticism. Just writing about these people makes me tense up and roll my eyes. How does your body feel when you encounter these people who squash your enthusiasm? Could that person be you? I will share how to handle critical people and become more curious!
I have known author Barbara Maxwell for over 40 years. Barbara is my brother-in-law Tom’s sister. In the last few months I can truly say I know Barbara differently because I have seen and felt her heart. Barbara is the author of two devotional books, Inspired and Refined. She has used her life experiences to learn the lessons she shares today. Barbara will share how she learned to live an inspired and refined life in Christ!
It is still difficult for me to grasp slavery in this day and age. But I know it is still happening. The movie, Sounds of Freedom, has made the world aware there is another side to life that we do not or cannot look at. The president and founder of I AM A Freedom Fighter, Jenny Pruett, has been a champion of other groups and nonprofit organizations such as Life Recaptured that are making a difference in the human trafficking area. Jenny will share how we too can help stop human trafficking.
When we hold on to past traumas, even when we ignore them and act as they never happened, it affects how we view others, our circumstances, and the world. How many times have you thought, “I’ve dealt with that,” only to later find out that it is still affecting your health. Recall Healing expert Michelle LaMasa-Dawson, PhD, has helped us dive into the effects of emotions on the body and how can we trace the issues to our thoughts. Dr. Michelle is back to discuss how our thoughts affect our health and how we can change our thoughts to improve our lives.
Have you ever been called a hoarder? I have. But it was in fun when I did not get rid of a dress or a picture. The reality is, there are hoarders. Most of us could never comprehend what a hoarder is like. Jacob Suarez not only understands hoarders, but he has made it his mission to help them at their lowest. Through his YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok channels, he is creating awareness of this underlying mental health issue. Jacob will share why this is a special mission and what we need to know about hoarding.
As a certified life coach, most of my time is spent listening to my client and discerning how to create peace within the story. Sometimes these stories have been with them since they were children. Other times, it is a recent or current situation. Regardless of when the pain occurred, it is important to dissect every aspect of the story, not only my client’s perspective, but also the other side of the pain. Is this pain an isolated issue? Or is it threaded within a lifetime of circumstances? If there is a feeling or fear that seems to be returning at different times, perhaps there is a lesson to be learned. I will share the value of seeing life through a different and new perspective.
It is difficult to think that slavery is still happening during these times. But Sounds of Freedom, has made the world aware there is another side to life that we do not or cannot look at. The president and founder of Life Recaptured, Brandy Crisafulli, has been a champion for victims of abuse, neglect, and those in physical and emotional pain, for over 20 years. Life Recaptured is a ministry that provides housing and training for women and their children who have been affected by human trafficking. Brandy will teach us we can help create a safe home of refuge for survivors of human trafficking.
As each generation passes the baton to the next, it seems like certain talents, trades, and traditions are being ignored. Some skills that are missing today were considered “everyday courtesy” or proper etiquette in my parent’s generation. Etiquette expert Jackie Vernon-Thompson is making us aware of the importance of teaching proper etiquette to our children and grandchildren. But, what about us? There are times when we need a refresher on how to conduct ourselves in our professional and personal lives. Jackie is back to remind us how we can lead through example in our business and at home.
As the years progress, we rely more on the internet for doing our research, socialization, and entertainment. When we were kids, the only way to meet was to gather at someone’s home. The world has a different perspective on connection today. Now, many of our children and grandchildren do not even know how to physically interact. Looking at a screen has replaced eye contact! This generation faces different issues than we ever encountered. Shannon Perry has a master’s degree in education and counseling and is certified in parenting classes and crisis counseling. Her passion is to reach our youth in a profound way. Shannon will share ways we can connect with Gen Z.
November is right around the corner. Then the winter holidays are upon us. This is a time where we can get lost in the “doing” and not the “being!” As we set our sights on holiday gift giving, we might neglect giving ourselves a gift. If money was no object, what gift would you give yourself? Would it be a “thing” that is outside of you? Or would you give yourself a gift that will change you within, forever? As we make the final preparations for The Emotion Code and Body Code Seminar, I will share how the gift of awareness, understanding, letting go, peace, and joy, will be The Best Gift EVER, for yourself and those you love!
World-renowned integrative physician, Lee Cowden, MD guided us towards health during the M3 Detox Experience, as we learned about mold, metals, and microbes toxicity. Dr. Lee has been and still is instrumental in teaching medical practitioners how to be natural, functional, alternative, and integrative. Last month, Dr. Lee taught us the importance of releasing negative trapped emotions. We also discussed the importance of embracing a higher power. Dr. Lee is back to share about the character and the promises of God.
Have you ever read the Bible? Are you afraid that you might not understand it when you do read it? Would you like to read the Bible without fear of misinterpretation? Pastor Brandon Robbins knows how it feels to not understand the scriptures. But his thirst for wisdom of God’s word created a passion to not only understand it but be able to teach it to others. Brandon will share scriptures that are often misunderstood and help us discern God’s truth.
There are times in my life when I feel that God is calling me to make a change. When this happens, I get silent and wait for my next orders from God. How does God speak to you? This year, I have noticed how many children are growing up not knowing anything about God. The schools and society are promoting confusing lifestyles. I have felt tugged towards sharing God’s word, doing more classes about the Bible, and freeing my time to create a new path. I believe I now know what steps to take, and I look forward to sharing them with you.
Last week I shared how to embrace your inner wounded child. I loved hearing your feedback! I also discovered that many of you are having a problem understanding how to focus on what you want. As a Certified Life Coach, I spend a lot of time sharing this concept, but hey… it took me a long time to understand it as well. So, in response to your amazing feedback, I will share how you can create the Life You Want.
What kind of father did you grow up with? Was he kind or abusive? Do you have a great relationship with your father or are you still carrying the pain from your past. It is amazing how much time I spend coaching people about how to release the hurts and past traumas from their childhood. As we enter a weekend that honors fathers, let’s discover, embrace, and release the wounds from our childhood so we can fully celebrate the man who gave us life.
They say that any man can make a child but it takes a special man to be a father. When we have a child, it is important that our lives adjust to support this special new life. Jason Kreidman, founder of Dad University, struggled with the transition from single man to married dad with kids. While transitioning to being a married father of two young children, he found himself overwhelmed and taking his stress out on his children. Jason will share his journey and how to recognize behaviors that need to change to be a successful father.
I do not know why, but every year since 2011 change happens for The Classroom… This year is No Exception! Once again, it’s our AnniBirthary and change has happened! The way I deal with change is to curiously step into it. Change can be different and new but it can also create opportunity. We will discuss how to accept change and embrace loss, growth, and a new vision. How do you deal with change when you are being moved?
As each generation passes the baton to the next, it seems like certain talents, trades, and traditions are being ignored. Some missed skills were considered “everyday courtesy” or proper etiquette in my parent’s generation. Jackie Vernon-Thompson is teaching proper etiquette from the inside out to our children and grandchildren. But, most importantly, she is keeping our next generation from being embarrassed at social events. Jackie will share why we should keep these valuable protocols alive in our society today.

Recently, someone I trusted made choices that were impulsive, unprofessional, and vindictive. I would hate to think they purposely chose to cause harm in my life, but based on their actions, it certainly looks like it. These actions have caused me to seek God’s wisdom and He has brought me peace in every turn. Everything has a season and, during the spring, pruning is important. There are times that we are pruned as well. I certainly feel like I have been pruned. Has someone you love or trusted carelessly hurt you? I will share some of the lessons learned during this time, most importantly, how God will turn all harm to good.
