In 2010, The Rockefeller Foundation published Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development. One of the four scenarios is “A world of tighter top-down government control and more authoritarian leadership with limited innovation and growing citizen pushback.” And they predicted this would be accomplished through a devastating biological pandemic. Investigative journalist, Harry Vox, of Vox News, will share why we need to be vigilant and protect our constitutional rights.

Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung, MD, said, “Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” This quote and this awareness have allowed me to reflect on who I am and what is at the root of my belief or frustration. Many times, in social media I read accusations of others, when in fact the accusers are doing the same thing but have a different perspective. Why is it that we can see the flaws in others, but not ourselves? I will share how we can use Dr. Jung’s awareness as a mirror to see ourselves.

Have you ever felt like you don’t quite complete your goals? Do you find yourself falling for the same kind of toxic relationships? Have you ever wondered why the same destructive pattern is repeated in your life? If so, what is keeping you from what you want? Jason Christoff has developed a worldwide reputation as a self-sabotage coach. He discovered very early in his career, after managing one of Canada’s most successful weight loss clinics, that health and self-sabotage are inherently connected. Jason will share tips on recognizing and overcoming self-sabotage.

Three Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Eight Days ago, I celebrated my 48th birthday on the first broadcast of The Lillian McDermott Radio Show… The woman who began this journey is not the same curious student who sits in the classroom today. When I state, “This classroom has saved me,” I am being completely truthful! Although aging has taken its natural toll, sometimes I cannot recognize the woman I was nine years ago. On this day, I will share my greatest awakening moments in the classroom. (If you have had any awakenings or transformations because of the teachers in the classroom, I would love to hear from you as well.)

ClutterBug, and recovering super slob turned organizing expert, Cassandra Aarsen, has made it her mission to teach us that we are not messy or lazy, rather, each of us has a different style of organization. Cassandra will share how we can use our quarantine time to discover how to organize our home and our lives.

I never thought that 2020 would bring so much panic, fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. It is time to shift our sights and refocus on the life we want to live. Our teachers this week gave us some wonderful spiritual food for thought and I want to share some highlights of what we learned. So, let’s take our “Soul Shovels” out, and let’s dig, dig, dig, until there is only truth!

So, I asked Miguel to share tips for awareness within the Toltec path that will help us embrace peace within us.

What do you do when your scheduled teacher in the classroom is a “no call, no show”? Quickly Shift! I shifted all the way to an article I wrote in 2016 called, “Embracing the S and F words!” Yes, of all the things I could speak of today, this would be what came out of my heart. Here is a clue… “S,” divides us and creates what is known as “distancing.” “F” unites us and sets us free. Please join me and Dr. Russell Jaffe, MD, PhD, who joined part way into the class, as we dive into how Shame and Forgiveness affects our spirit, mind and body.

My philosophy in life has been “Everything Always Works Out For The Greater Good!” (Rom 8) Life is changing but has that philosophy changed? Today’s scheduled guests had an emergency and postponed. So, instead of playing a “Best of Show,” it is time to share what is in my heart. Love and Fear are the only two choices every decision comes from. I will discuss how we can choose love during these fearful times due to the coronavirus.

It has been a long time since I have done a segment on religion. I want to research how religion supports your heart so that I can celebrate your faith. What we have in common is more important than our differences. It is time to break down the walls of religion. This time we will embrace Catholicism. Have you ever stepped into a Catholic Church? Do you know what Catholics believe? John Martignoni is host of Open Line Monday, a call-in radio program for Bible apologetics on EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network. He will share about what Catholics believe.

Many of us have difficult and tragic pasts and only a few of our closest friends know about. How are you doing on your New Year commitments (aka resolutions)? It is a new year and, after listening to all the teachers in the classroom, I wonder if you have decided to reprogram your thoughts or even to focus on what you want? Unfortunately, many of us focus on what we do not want and, as a result, create more of what we do not want. How do we change this pattern? As we create our future, let’s get our thoughts in alignment with our desires… I will share tips on how we can change our thought patterns and create the life we desire.

You have heard me say that I had to go to a respiratory therapist because of hoarseness in my vocal cords. What I was told by my therapist, after my 30-minute appointment, was that I had forgotten how to breathe. WUH? I am alive… How can that be?! Ordained minister and author of the book, Breathe Deep, Laugh Loudly, Judith Kravitz, has worked extensively with the breath as an agent of transformation and healing since the late 1970s. In 1994, she founded the Transformational Breath Foundation and its training programs. She will teach us how to breathe so our breath is healing, spiritual, loving, dynamic, and lifegiving.

Although this statistic might be incredulous to some, many of the teachers in the classroom have said that “95% of all illness is due to unresolved past trauma.” Typically, we focus on the body instead of our mind or spirit to heal. Have you heard of Recall Healing? Recall Healing helps us discover the root cause of disease. Michelle Schrader, PhD, and Jennifer Gramith, ND, CLT work together to help create awareness on how past trauma trapped in the body can keep us from truly healing. They will share how we can shift our health challenges by understanding the underlying cause of our health issues.
