As we move into the holiday season, many of us feel pressure to do more, give more, and be more. What if this year we focus instead on being present with childlike curiosity? Over the years, I’ve loved watching our grandchildren during the holidays. I often wonder how they are experiencing these moments and what priorities might look like through their eyes. Childlike curiosity softens stress, invites joy, and deepens our connections with loved ones. It can help us savor moments we might otherwise rush through. Imagine how your priorities might shift if you approached this season with the wonder of a child. I will share simple suggestions to reconnect with curiosity, practice gratitude, and embrace the kind of joy that can transform the season from overwhelming to uplifting.

Homelessness is not just a lack of housing. It's often a crisis of confidence, support, and an opportunity. New Life Mission provides a path forward for women and children by offering education such as life skills training and financial literacy along with counseling and safe transitional housing. Director of Development, Staci Donovan shares how their mission empowers women to break generational cycles and reclaim their lives with courage and possibility. Through compassion, community, and practical tools, New Life Mission helps women move from simply surviving… to truly thriving. It is a reminder that healing and hope are always possible when someone believes in us.
