As a certified life coach, most of my time is spent listening to my client and discerning how to create peace within the story. Sometimes these stories have been with them since they were children. Other times, it is a recent or current situation. Regardless of when the pain occurred, it is important to dissect every aspect of the story, not only my client’s perspective, but also the other side of the pain. Is this pain an isolated issue? Or is it threaded within a lifetime of circumstances? If there is a feeling or fear that seems to be returning at different times, perhaps there is a lesson to be learned. My 89-year-old mother has been dealing with dementia for quite a while and my 92 year old father sleeps most of the day. Neuroscience News cited a study of 22 million people that found autoimmune disorders now affect around 1 in 10 individuals with women affected more than men. The research also revealed socioeconomic, seasonal, and regional disparities among several autoimmune disorders.
